The Ki ® by Leonora Anne Weston is a framework and body of knowledge of 42 responses to power.
It is how you interact with challenges, opportunities and authority on the ground.
Your Ki responses - affect sex, relationships, work, politics and identity.
If you don’t understand the Ki - you don’t understand the world.
Leonora Anne Weston MA (UCL)
Author & International expert in Power Dynamics
What is the Ki ?
The Ki ® (pronounced Key) is a framework of how people respond to power, in relational dynamics - that affect everything.
It is the culmination of 15 years of research, study and field work by Leonora Weston, who holds a Masters degree from UCL, and is renowned within the emergent field of Dominance studies.
Leonora has begun teaching her new body of work - The Ki ® to her students and clients, from Melbourne Australia and Internationally online.
Using The Ki ® diagram as a useful tool and map, reveals how and why people respond and move with power - pro-socially or adversarially along predictable pathways. This affects work relationships, personal relationships and even sex.
The Ki ® is the Key to understanding power dynamics.
Unlike many existing personality tests which have no theoretical explanatory framework, Weston’s work sits on sound theory supported by archaeology, history, religion as well as sexuality, BDSM, and her research questionnaire data studies undertaken during Covid-19.
She is presently writing her book The Ki: How 42 Responses to Power Affect Everything; while teaching students and clients in its application and relational dynamics. The responses lay bear what people do, how they react behaviourally - to application of force power whether as threat or opportunity.
These split pro-socially and adversarially. They accordingly have a strong relationship to Evolution of Human Behaviour within Biological Anthropology.
When you encounter a powerful figure, whether you respond in a Dominant rising force - to go into Fight (assail threat), Take up (Pick up), Protect (vulnerable from them), or Pursue (chase).
Or whether you soften to Please (People-please), action into Follow (the commands), Twist-away (to manipulate to gain advantage), or Surrender and give in, or Close off (Lock yourself away). To cite but a few examples of some of the 42 responses.
Once you learn and understand The Ki, you can identify what others are doing relationally to you, and you can predict where they will go next if they lower their power, or rally and raise their power in response.
You can learn to embody and choose your own response instead of auto-defaulting to your familiar pattern.
